Default Transfers from pom to mia

Is it better to buy a transfer to mia from pom or take a taxi? What would be the cost of each?

It depends how many there are in your party. Transfers are charged per person, taxis per vehicle (and there is a set fee POM to MIA - Miami taxis are on zone rates).

I can't offhand remember the charges (and I don't know which ship you are on) but in my experience, a solo is cheaper on a transfer, a couple is roughly the same either way, and three or four people are cheaper in a taxi.

Taxis are reasonably plentiful and it's about a 20 - 30 min ride if there's not too much traffic; buses take longer because they must wait till fully loaded then may stop at different terminals.

I would be hard pressed to take a transfer. It will probably cost more, even with 1 or 2 people. It will take longer.

Walk out, grab cab, be there in 15 minutes.

In January it was a set fee of $24 for a cab and it didn't take long at all. You got to see a little of the city, too. Prices are posted.

I believe garycola is incorrect. A solo is cheaper with a transfer. However, not a lot of money involved, and there are inconveniences with the transfer.

Yes, if a single/solo it is most probably slightly cheaper with a transfer. Can not imagine it is less than $20. Never seen the exact price.

Thank you for the info. There are four of us, but we may have to take two taxis with the luggage.

Mini-van taxis are available; unless you have way to much luggage 4 of you should fit. Good luck!

ABSOLUTELY do a van cab and AVOID any shuttles. You will have the low cost convenience and speed you won't have with a shuttle.
