Default MSC Musica - tea and coffee making facilities

Hi All

Can anybody perhaps let me know if there are tea and coffee making facilities/kettles in the cabins? I rather suspect that there aren't but when I phoned MSC they said that there are

Please can someone confirm? Thanks

I'd be surprised if it did as none of the other ships that I've been on(including the newer Fantasia) have. Doesn't seem to be something Italians want as I've never seen it in Italian hotels either.

if you like a cuppa first thing in the morning - use the breakfast in your cabin service (it doesn't cost extra and you can just order tea or coffee - don't have to order food if you don't want it).

There was no coffee makers in our room. I like my coffee in the mornings and found that coffee was available at Gli Archi Cafetteria. There was a service area for coffee set up each morning just at the entrance to the cafetteria and I could set outside on deck and have coffee. The area was usually not busy and I could visit the the service staff. I found this relaxing and I enjoyed sharing information about our home lands.

Thanks DW. I think we've decided that we'll have breakfast in the cabin in the mornings. We like sitting out on the balcony if it's warm enough. In fact, if it's cold I'll just make them all wear a fleecy jacket so that should be problem sorted.

Hubby has studied photos of the ship in great detail and our cabin appears to have a larger than normal balcony as it is at the part of the ship where it changes from mid ship to aft and the ship widens at that point. Ours is the last cabin on the narrower part at one side and the first cabin on the wider part at the other side, so we've got a bit of an odd shaped, longer balcony. We think

Sounds like a great plan. The Musica was our first cruise. We loved it. The ship is beautiful and we found the crew very friendly. We loved our balcony. Enjoyed watching all the actives and scenary as we pulled into and out of port. Just talking about it makes me want to go again. I'm sure you will have a great trip.

I appreciate all the help you have given to potential customers of MSC, however after returning from a cruise with them i would say that they are amateurs!!!! I also notice that you have not cruised with any other company, i really think you should to notice how bad MSC are.

I rather think that Amomondo meant that none of the other MSC SHIPS had coffee making facilities as opposed to any other ships in general.

I really don't think MSC are amateurs, they just aren't an American (owned) line. Actually, one day I must visit the Carnival thread and see what the european, and particularly British, visitors think of them. I think they may just say they are overly brash!! But. Just my opionion.

I'm sorry that you did not like them. In my experience people love them or hate them. I just happen to love them. I don't think they are perfect and that there is nothing thst they could improve but for me they tick most of the boxes that matter to me. I may not have cruised other lines but that does not mean that I have not researched them thoroughly. I've come to the conclusion that I get most of what is really important to me from MSC. The only other line that I may consider is Costa.

I also try to only provide factual information rather than attempt to answer questions where people want to know whether it is right for them or not. I also publish my cruise history in my signature, so that anyone reading my replies understands that I have no personal first hand experiemce of other cruise lines.

I respect your right to have a different opinion from mine. We all have very different preferences and it is great that there are so many different types of cruise experience available. the knack is to select what suits you best. I hope that you will enjoy future cruises with other lines.
