Question Island Escape- View from Cabins

Hello All,
I am both new to this forum and cruising.....so I have a question that I hope someone can answer or advise me on.

I have booked the Western Horizons cruise from Oct 27th, neither my wife or I have cruised before but as it is our Ruby Wedding Anniversary on Nov 1st it seemed like a good time to try a cruise.

I wanted to make sure we had a sea view from the cabin and Ihave paid to upgrade to a "Premier Cabin" However when I look at the deck Plan I see that these cabins are only on decks 8 and 9 and it looks to me as though if I am on deck 9 there will be a lifeboat outside my window ? am I reading the plan correctly ?? I only booked last week so I assume that the best cabins at this grade will be allocated on a first come basis.
thanks in advance for any help
wt

How did u book?
Under any circumstances you should have been informed that thre was an obstructed view. (if indeed there is one).

I have never heard of the Island Escape and I found you response very rude. Perhaps you could have beem polite and just explained what the Island Escape was; I am sure that it would have been more appreciated the "What bit of....."

The Island Escape is the old Royal Caribbean Viking Serenade and is operated by Thomson Cruises of the UK. The midship cabins on Deck 9 do have life boats outside the windows; this is not the case for other Deck 9 and Deck 8 cabins.
