Default Carnival Dream Cruise to Nowhere

Eh..its a bit on the pricey side...but it's just too close to Boston to pass this up.
Me and my hubby will be on the Carnival Dream on 11/13.

My sister is coming along..I told her she had to bunk with us so we would get a discount. We have never been on a Carnival cruise and it goes out of New York so it's an easy ride there.

Any other boys and girls going???

Default May be on Dream Cruise to Nowhere

My partner and I are considering the Dream cruise out of NYC. We live here, so it is looking like a great deal and a fun way to check out a new line.

So far, we've only been on Celebrity with Atlantis.

OK. Last bump before we give up.

There will be a meet and greet at 3pm and we should have some great guests. It was organized over on the Carnival Roll Call thread for this cruise. So far we have a fun group.

Ken

Default Carnival Dream Cruise to Nowhere 11/13/09

I'll be going on this single. I went on the Carnival Triumph 7/4/09 and have been doing either the 4 or 5 day Carnival cruise to Canada just about every year since 1999. I spoke with Carnival and the cruise is going to be similar to the first 2 days of their Canada cruises. The second night will be a formal night. FOD meetings are usually held at the wine bar at 10:00PM each night. Many rarely attend them because the wine bars tend to be out in the open. On past cruises most singles frequented the the dance club about 11:00PM each night or hung out in the piano bar (less open). Other places have been out on deck when the ship departs, the gym each afternoon and the bar at the captain's cocktail parties. Remember guys, it's only 2 nights. I was on the Eurodam's Cruise to Nowhere for 3 nights last year. That was great.

So, did you have a bumpy ride on the Dream? I saw there were 30 ft. seas out there on that cruise to nowhere! Boarding her on 12-12....what did you think?

The Carnival Dream is a beautiful boat. I encountered no real problems on the cruise, other than the rough ride due to the weather. During the first nights dinner, something caused the boat to tilt considerably and right itself with a bang, sending dishes off some of the tables. There was no FOD gathering that night. One was scheduled the following night at 5:30PM in the Ocean Plaza Bar, but it was so full of people you didn't know who was who unless you were preaquainted. I'm a seasoned cruiser. The ship and many of the crew are new. I realize it's going to take them sometime to learn the vessel, activities, etc, and get whatever flaws there are taken care of. A little patience and understanding is all it takes to have a great cruise and make some wonderful friends.
