Dear All,

below is a note from Frank that he asked me to pass along.

Dear loyal Cruise Critic members and fans of Oceania Cruises,

I want to express my sincere thanks for all of your input, creativity and passion during the new itinerary poll. As stated previously, there were so many great ideas that came out of this and we hope to be able to integrate many of them into our future deployments. We may not be able to use all of them, but as we develop our plans beyond 2011, they will be top of mind as we look to integrate new destinations and itineraries into the mix, but please remember that sometimes even the best of ideas are not 100% practicable.

The polling was very close indeed but that comes as no surprise to us as they were all excellent itinerary proposals.

Based on the final tally of the voting, the finalists crossed the proverbial finish line in this order:

#1 BruinSteve (Western Africa and the Canaries) 96 votes
#2 Hondorner (Exotic Alaska) 93 votes
#3 Benita (Iceland and Greenland) 86 votes
#4 TheATrain (South America, Africa and Arabia) 80 votes
#5 BrianUK (Iberia and the Rivieras) 55 votes

As I will be traveling over the next few weeks, Tim Rubacky will be personally contacting each of the finalists to convey my sincere thanks and gratitude.

Once again, thank you all and I look forward to "seeing" you here on the Cruise Critic boards and look forward to welcoming you aboard our ships in the near future.

Every thread about this has been removed WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION yet Oceania can start it again and it stays there.
