Default if price goes down, does my OBC go down too?

I'm looking at a cruise for next year in a suite (our first).

There's that $300 OBC from the cruiseline, but the price still seems a little high. However, a year is a long time. If the price goes down between now and next November, will the OBC drop (or be eliminated) too. I know if the OBC is from the TA they'll sometimes reduce it, but what if it's from the cruiseline?

It may or may not. That is one of the things you have to watch when you're going for a price reduction.

Enjoy

Yes it can. We had $75 OBC when we first booked through an NCL promotion. The price went down a total of $220 recently but we had to lose the OBC to get it. We're still ahead in the long run.

well, with a $300 obc it would have to go down a lot for us to change.

I just seem to remember a past cruise where my OBC remained unchanged even though the price dropped.....it wasn't on NCL, however. I think it was Princess.

OK...at least I know.
