Default hmm nude cruise immediately preceding my panama canal cruise on connie

The crew is bound to be a little cranky when the 15 days of nudity ends...

But seriously, I think that this is the first time that the Bare Necessities Group has chartered Celebrity. I am not sure if other au naturale groups have ever chartered Celebrity before and seeing as this is a pretty "formal" line (inferred from reading decussions here on CC) that the crew will be a little flustered when a thousand+ naked people are sitting in the dining room....how does one prepare themselves for such a sight???

I am not anti-nudity and think that the charter is fine (hopefully the cleaning crew is REALLY THOROUGH after their debarkation though)

Not really looking for a reponse here as it was more just a statement. I think that this is common knowledge about the charter and I did a search on this board and found nothing so I guess I am just a prude (I know I am.)

Can you hang your cruise card around your neck and still be considered "formal"?

In all seriousness, having friends that have been on a clothing optional cruise, clothing was required in the dining rooms and in most of the food venues. However nude sunbathing, swimming, and activities were allowed. They advised that the expected norm was that one would carry a towel to sit on at any time that they were without pants.

Well that's interesting and a little reassuring (Hi Gene!). You comments give pause to the overall 'norms' present. I imagine that the 'not uptight' naturalists charter mainly for freedom of appearance sunbathing, but given how un-discipled people are en masse I suppose the Horizon Court sees a lot of towel wrapped lowers.

I'm fine with nudity and naturalists, I just am too old to overcome my culture. My culture is sexual-repressive-sexual such that seeing a lot of bare T&A will never not be sexual. True confessions: It's sexual WITH clothing - so maybe it makes no difference whatsoever.

I imagine the crew goes through an interesting and funny adjustment period though that makes for a lot of laughter at the crew bar.

I wonder how they staff that cruise as surely open nudity would be offensive to muslim and other religious groups who work on board?

We watched Wanda Sykes on HBO last week and she did a bit about the buffet on a nude cruise -- really hilarious, but I couldn't repeat any of it here!

Most nudists don't eat "in the raw"...they do dress sometimes!

At least it's a charter rather than a group being sprung on those who would not like it at all...

what do they wear in the ports? iIassume other than beaches that allow it they;d have to dress for that too...

Well, heck. At least with a nude cruise, you've got more than just a couple of places to hang your lanyard. No excuses for losing your sign and sail card.

Look dear someone must have left a chocolate covered strawberry on the middle of that chair

I think it would be a hoot to accidentally book an a clothing optional cruise.

I guess this is one group of people that won't be upset there are no self serve laundry facilities on Celebrity. We may all be looking for clothing optional if the airlines keep raising rates on luggage.

Default Luggage

There certainly won't be an issue of your luggage being over the weight limit!
