How long will it take for a taxi to go from Miami's airport to the FLL pier to get on the Crown Princess? How much does it cost? Thanks

From Miami International to the pier I would leave at least 40 minutes and it can vary enormously depending on your time of day. The taxi is around $80 plus tip.

I am talking about Miami International Airport. I didnt realize it would cost so much. Has anyone taken the coach from miami to ft lauderdale that princess offers? Does princess take you from the Miami airport to the pier or ft lauderdale aiport? I need to figure a better way to get to boat!

The Princess transfer is a really easy door to door service from MIA to the ship. I have taken it often and it is a painless way to travel, unfortunately i am not sure of the cost but I think it is around $20pp.
I have also rented a car one way which can be cost effective at the right time of the year. Dropped everyone off at the pier with their luggage and then returned the car and went through the boarding process well behind them.

I have lived in South Florida for 30 years. There is no time of day or year in which you can get from MIA to Port Everglades in less than 45 minutes. In season on weekdays, especially during rush hours and/or if there is an accident, the trip can be even longer. I would allow 90 minutes for peace of mind.
Now as to price, Miami Airport Ground Transportation rates are actually regulated. I'm sorry for the person who paid $90. The posted rate is $30pp or $76.90 flat rate for up to 5 persons. Anyone who gets charged more is getting ripped off. If you don't want to have to wait for a bus to load, and then unload at the pier, for the few dollars more pp, I would take a taxi. But make sure you tell the driver that you know the rates are pre-set. To make sure you're up on the most recent rate, go to the airport's website, click on Ground Transportation, and scroll to the very bottom for "out of area" rates.
