Question Any recent Liberty Visitors to Portofino's or Chops?

We've been to Portofino's and Chops a few times. Some visits have been worth it and some were just okay. Any recent Liberty cruisers who have visited either care to comment on their experiences?

Right now I think we're leaning toward Chops.

Thanks for any information.

We ate in Portofino about 10 days ago on Liberty. It was very good and with outstanding service. My husband's fillet was perfect and just as good as what we have experienced in Chops on another ship. My seafood skewer was excellent except for one thing. The piece of lobster was way too salty! I never put any seasoning on crab or lobster, so this was disappointing. However, that is only a small part of the skewer. The desserts are to die for!

Dined in both Chops and Portofino on Liberty in May. Both were wonderful, but if I had to choose, Portofino won hands down.... our server was beyond phenomenal. She had a large group, I'd guess 25 or so, to wait on in addition to us.... and she still couldn't have been more attentive. They came in about half an hour into our meal, and she never missed a beat.

I was on Liberty a month ago. . . in fact a month ago yesterday was when we ate in Chops. I thought the food was fantastic and the cheesecake was incredible. I was so geared up for cheesecake for this trip and had been so disapointed with the quality of cheesecake in the main dinning room that I ordered a second piece when I was finished with the first. Most people order a second steak. . .I had to order the second cheesecake.

Anyway, I don't think you'll be disapointed eating at Chops. I keep trying to tell my better half that I want to eat at Chops again but for some reason she keeps telling me that a new reservation is too expensive.
