I just get a case of water and tape the luggage tag to the top of it. I do the same with the soda. I get a 12 pack of soda and tape a luggage tag to it. It gets there everytime. I have only had one water bottle missing a few times. I think the workers got a little thirsty or they were checking for alcohol.

Are you flying in or driving? If you are driving, this is what I did, I just strapped my 2 -12 packs to the top of my carry-on luggage and sent my bottled water as luggage. I just put one case on a piece of luggage and strapped it to the luggage. I did this with both cases of water.

For the last year, porters have been refusing those who are so lazy they think slapping a luggage tag on a 12 pack of soda is adequate. Be prepared for refusal and to repack if you try this advise. ... some might take it with a good tip. Some wouldnt.

Get something with a handle. Pack it.
