Destiny express luggage timeline

Hi All, Crazy I know! But my daughter is booking a 10:40 AM flight out of MIA. Has anyone been allowed to use the express luggage service for a flight this early?? I'm worried if she has to check her bags she won't make her flight.

Also ? on cabin up-sell calls. This will be my 5th Carnival cruise and I have never received a call to upgrade. I use a TA (not affiliated with CCL). Is this why they don't contact me?

I believe that is too early for luggage express.

I book my cruises thru a PVP at Carnival and have never received an upgrade or upsell call. Luck of the draw

I believe if the ship is docking back in Miami the flight has to be:

After 12 Noon if flying out of Miami Airport

After 2:00 PM out of Ft. Lauderdale Airport

I made it to the airport by 7:45AM two weeks ago when I was on the Destiny. I just walked off the ship with all my luggage around 7AM and was in a taxi around 7:15.

Sicne her flight is that early, and likely not qualify for luggage express (previous post is the same cut off time of noon that I have seen), she should do self assist where she carries her own luggage off with first group off ship (thus not putting out in hall night before.)
I also highly recommend using internet the day prior and "check-in" online, and print a boarding pass out. This will require her of course having established an internet account and minimal amount of minutes. But to me having boarding passes and just using kiosk at airport is way to go.

Great! Sounds like she will be O.K. if all goes well with ship clearance and does the online check in, rolling off the luggage is a breeze I usually do that any way. SueG I hope you enjoyed you cruise. Did you find the Destiny to be a lovely ship?

I ended up with an abscess tooth on this cruise. I saw very little of the ship. I can tell you all you need to know about the medical center though. ha ha I have yet to have a bad time on any ship. She will have a great time.

Great to hear that. We are booked on a 1:15 flight because I didn't want to chance the 10:45 flight. We will be doing self debarkation and trying to get on the earlier flight. It puts us home just a bit after the other one would take off.

I did not wait for any announcements. I just saw people leaving the ship from my balcony and took off. I had no problems leaving this way.
