Is anyone else going to be on this sailing? This is our first cruise with SS and our fourth cruise to French Polynesia. I will be celebrating my 50th birthday on Feb. 6 and am bringing my mother who is retired and living in central Florida.

Mark: Check the previous posts in this link and you will find the CC'ers who will be aboard. Are you doing RT LA/LA?
Welcome to the thread and say "Hello" to your mother for us. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=996264 Last edited by dwelsh; October 21st, 2009 at 05:43 PM. |

That is a very good question. (I'm tempted to say in a knot! LOL) Since I'm not high tech, I simply hope that people will be aware that there is another thread with significantly more posts and concentrate their posts there. The February 7 departure on the Shadow is composed of two one way cruises: LA to Tahiti and Tahiti to LA and the 26 day LA to LA round trip that we are on. Also, I understand that there are some custom itineraries that go from LA to Honolulu.

Well yes and no. The round trip is not cheaper than the sum of the A & B fares so, it is not a B2B but is also a single cruise. On our recent cruise from Vancouver to LA (via Alaska), some passengers got off at San Francisco, but I certainly wouldn't call it a back to back cruise. Now when we continued on to Mexico, that was a B2B cruise with the 5% B2B discount.
However, if you wish to call the LA to LA cruise a B2B, go for it. The important thing is that we're on the whole trip! |
