Default How long are the sofa beds?

We just booked a balcony room on the Glory for July. This will be our first balcony room and first time with a room with a sofa bed. DS(15) will be sleeping on the sofa bed. The problem is he is 6'5", the cruise is 9 months away, and he is still growing. Will he fit on the sofa bed? He is not big (he only weighs 155 lbs.), just tall and lanky. Does anyone have experience sleeping on these sofa beds? Will he be comfortable enough to sleep or should we think about bringing an air mattress for him? Would their be room for an air mattress? Any input would be appreciated.

If its labeled a convertible sofa, its the same length as any other twin bed. I could google twin beds, if you need to know how long a twin bed is. They take off the cushions on the back of the sofa and make it up as a bed at night.

The convertible sofa should be fine for him- the back comes off and its made to a bed- like Fire says-- theyare the same as a twin size bed.

Taking an air mattress-- who will blow them up?

We just got off the Legend and had a balcony cabin with convertible sofa. Our 19-year-old son who is 6'3" slept fine on the sofa. Forget the air bed because there is not enough floor space for it. Enjoy your cruise.

Thanks for the info. He will just have make himself fit. We are really excited about having our first balcony room. I just wish DS would stop growing now - nobody makes clothes for skinny & tall - just big &tall. I tried to custom order him some dress pants last week and got an error that his deminsions were out of their custom order range and to recheck my numbers. He is really starting to get expensive to clothe. I need him to put on weight but he burns everything off he eats (which is a lot) in sports and the rest just gets stretched upward.

We have the same problem with our son. He just keeps growing and clothes are only good for about a month. His feet are a size 13 already and he's only 13 years old. I see a lifetime of special ordering clothes and shoes for the boy...he's doomed as my husband has size 15 feet and I have size 11! YIKES!

Have fun on your cruise, once you have a balcony, you'll never go back to an inside!

Good luck to you. DS(15) is now in size 14 shoes (need to special order the soccer shoes - no one carries that size in stock). DD(12) wears size 11 and is now 5' 9.5". I am now officially the smallest one in the house at 5'9" and size 10 shoe. I sincerely hope DD stops growing soon too. She is a dancer and it is really difficult to get tap and jazz shoes that size to fit her skinny feet. DS is ok with his hieght - being a basketball player it has its advantages, but DD has a harder time towering over everyone else on her dance teams.

I sure hope we don't get spoiled with a balcony. I'm sure we will be going back to inside just so we can afford to go on more cruises. This was a surprise gift for DH for our anniversary yesterday. He knew I was booking the cruise, but he thought I was booking inside. The upgrade to balcony was my anniversary gift to him.

We took our 14 yr old GS on the Liberty. He was 6'2" at the time and he fit. We had a balcony room. He is also a soccer player with large feet that need special shoes. We found a site that we can order from but if needs them right away he can't find them. Have fun on your cruise.
