Default What Else? Favorite Venue For Dessert

It's time for a discussion/poll about something sweet. So, today's poll question is;

What venue(s) do you most enjoy on Crystal for its desserts? And, if you have a favorite dessert(s) please be sure to mention it?

You can pick more than one venue.

Silk Road

Prego

Main Dining Room

The Bistro

Lido Cafe

Tastes/The Trident Grill

The Vintage Room

The Afternoon Tea

One Of The Many Buffets

I will post Anne Marie's favorite and then I'll come back another time and post mine. Anne Marie would say it is the Chocolate Souffle Cake Served wth Homemade Sesame Ice Cream in Silk Road.

Yummy.

Keith

Most definitely the panna cotta in Prego! I think David would probably say the Grand Marnier Souffle in the Main Dining Room.

Not that it's the best dessert on the whole ship; but.....I give a big thumbs up to Silk Road because it's the only place in the world that I've had lychee sorbet. I LOVE LYCHEES!

This is one very tough question. I have to say the best desserts I ever saw were at the Jazz Brunch on a holiday cruise that we took 3 years ago. Totally spectacular.

Default Mini-Desserts

I absolutely love the mini-desserts in the Lido. Right sized and delicious, they are usually packed with fruit and light cream fillings. My second favorite is the chocolate timbale with sesame ice cream in Silk Road. Actually, any dessert Crystal serves is my favorite! Keith, you don't know what you are missing...

OK I have to admit, believe it or not, the first place that came to mind to me is the Bistro.

I really enjoy the Bistro and it's often a quiet spot to get a nice relaxing afternoon dessert, yes even amongst all the other desserts of the day! True that some may be left over from other places, but it is my favorite spot to catch dessert and perhaps forgo it elsewhere. Sometimes just having a cookie or too hits the spot.

The Dining Room desserts are often wonderful, as is Prego (if you can even get to it after the mushroom soup, plate of lasagne and a second main course!) but I have also found some to be rather routine and mediocre too.

The Dining Room did make one of the best Baklava I've ever had, and of course the Salzburger "Knuckles" are a big kick.

Three words; Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. Anywhere, anytime of the day. Or night for that matter. Except they usually don't leave them lying around at night. Which is probably a good thing for my waistline!

Oh yes, my other four favourite words; Double Caramel Ice Cream.

Can you guess who is the only one who voted for Tastes/Trident Grill??

Is it next Friday yet???

Make that two

Whilst I can quite easily pass on dessert in any of the restaurants (or substitute with fruit or cheese), I find it very difficult to avoid indulging in the odd ice cream - with a cookie (or two)....
