Default Mariner of the seas promenade stateroom question

I just booked my first cruise on the Mariner and since the prices were very very reasonable for a single cruiser, I booked a promenade stateroom. I have a couple of questions

I'm in #7289, so I won't be too high to watch parades. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if deck 7 is high enough so I won't have noices at night?

Does the window actually open? I can't believe I didn't think about asking sooner.

Thanks for your replies

Cindy

Many of the speakers in the Promenade are in the ceiling, so noise is pretty uniform. However, muffled noise is really only heard during the events, like the parades or street parties. You won't hear normal crowd noise.

No, the window does not open.

I had a deck 6 room and couldn't hear much except bass through the window.

A few years ago, I had Promenade room 7575 on the Explorer. In my opinion, it was noisy. They play music on the PA system most of the day. You can hear the thump, thump, thump of the bass.
