Default Sapphire cabin question

My DH and I are planning a special retirement trip to Alaska. Even though we are RCI diamond, we have decided to try the Sapphire. We are going to splurge on a suite. Since the view from the balcony is our major reason for the suite, I have a question about the forward and aft balcony suites. Can you see down to the water or does the ship get in the way? Any suggestions for that perfect balcony?

THANKS!

Go for an Aft Suite. The view is amazing!! We were just in the corner BB Caribe 753 right next to the suites... awesome location!

Totally agree with the above post - go for an aft suite. If I had the money I'd be in B750. By the way - has anyone seen my winning lottery ticket?

We will be on the Sapphire Princess on 10/31 with aft suite (PS C757). This will be the first time in a suite at the aft (we usually end up with middle of the ship). We have had balcony cabins at the aft & loved them.

I have been told that passengers are not able to use the balconies on the forward suites that are right at the front of the ship while at sea due to wind conditions. Hopefully someone on this board can confirm this.

Let me know if you would like me to share some suite pictures with you.

Default Mini Suite E 731 - Sapphire Princess

My parents stayed in E731 on the Sapphire Princess - this is a mini suite with the extended balcony - located on starboard side. The views are not as nice as the aft as you're only seeing one side of the ship. On the aft you are getting the full view of both sides of the ship, so the aft cabins would be my first pick. They are wonderful!
