Default Who signs the boarding pass ?

So I've printed out my boarding pass and I see we have to sign it. My question is: I am using MY credit card on all 5 travellers. The baording pass says "I authorize Princess to charge all (...) to the credit card below, etc"

So who has to sign this ? Me, cause it's my credit card for all 5 passengers or eash individual passenger ?

Each individual passenger should sign their own boarding pass.

I agree with the previous poster. We are 2 people, my wife and I. I printed out a seperate boarding pass for the two of us to sign respectively. Each one has their own. Makes sense.

At first that's what I thought (having each person sign their pass)

But the the full wording is:

"I authorize Princess cruises to charge all goods and service I receive to the credit card below. I also authorize those listed below to charge the shipboard purchases to my credit card"

Authorized user: DS
Authorized user: DH
Cardholder: Me
Signature: ________________________

So since it is MY credit card, I can't see the logic in having my 7 yo DS sign even though his name is on the boarding pass ??

I think I'll have the kids sign but then sign my name under it ... Cover all bases !

Each individual who is authorized to use the credit card for their onboard purchases must sign. It is so they will have a copy of all authorized signatures. -- So I was told.

That's interesting. So what do you sign at checkin? You have to sign something for credit card authorization.

You cannot be processed until the e-ticket/boarding pass is signed.

The passenger signs by their name and on that clever little line that shows where the signature goes

IE; Boarding pass number one
daddy bigbucks ____________________
mama spendalot
Ima spolied kid

boarding pass number two

daddy bigbucks
mama spendalot _____________________
Ima spoiled kid

boarding pass number three

daddy bigbucks
mama spendalot
Ima spoiled kid ___________________

as you can see the line shows who is supposed to sign that particular boarding pass.

The other "advantage" is that if one has to challenge a particular charge, the signature comparison will support whether that same 7 year old bought something using his card.

The credit card owner and all authorized users whose onboard cashless cards are attached to that credit card need to sign. Below is a copy of the credit portion of my wife's boarding pass used last month on the Grand.

I think you're reading into this too much. Everyone must sign their own boarding pass regardless of age. I, personally would not sign your name under your son's name. All the agreement says is you accept responsibility should your son charge something to his ship card. That's all. The boarding pass otherwise is a logistics doc that the line uses for head count and accountability purposes. If you wish, wait and sign the docs in front of the entrance representative upon check-in.

We always run into this situation since we have 2 cabins (1 for our sons) and their charges go on our credit card.

Each individual person signs on the line next to their name.

You only sign once.

And for the boarding pass for a child too young to write his/her name?

First - That is HYSTERICAL !!

And second, I hadn't noticed that the line moved from one person to the next - so yes, the line is indeed beside the passengers name in that case it makes more sense.

Anyways, I wasn't 'worried' about it, just thought it was mighty generous of my DS to allow himself to by all this stuff on my card ! Good thing this only works on the ship !!

I can just see it "Dear Toys R US, I authorise all my purchases to my mom's credit card. Signed DS, age 7"
