Default Pictures of Cruise Critic Parties & New (and old) Friends (includes staff)

Those of you who know me know that I'm rarely seen without a camera, so I thought it appropriate to begin a picture thread with the hopes that as Crystal cruisers return from their adventures they can keep the memories alive for a bit, as well as satisfy the curiosity of Cruise Critic readers--in other words, let's put faces with the names.

I will also go back to my one other Crystal cruise and post a few pictures of CC'ers taken on that one. I beg forgiveness and ask your help because I don't know everyone's screen names.

The following pictures were taken on Serenity #9322 Athens to Venice. I've included pictures of the Cruise Critic Party, and what a party it was! We had a great turn-out; although I didn't get an official count, I'd say we had between 25-30 lovely people. As well, I've included pictures taken of various CC'ers throughout the cruise. So as not to clutter this thread, I'll also post pictures and a little travelogue of the various ports in a separate thread.

Also, I didn't get everyone's picture, but I'm hopeful Jeremy, the very sweet photographer on this cruise, captured the group photo, and hopefully it will be posted. I would also like to note that I did ask permission before posting pictures, and I suggest you do the same when you post pictures here.

Now, let the giggles and ahhhhhs begin.

Embarrased to say that I can't remember this gorgeous couple's names. They are first-time Crystalites and we were with them on almost every excursion.

Jane & Jim (2JsOnboard) and Pat (Snuffie). And seeing her holding her little Snuffie reminds me of this:

Pat's gorgeous Judith Lieber Snuffie and my pitful Judith Lieber wannabe

Pat & John with Steve & Steve (so as not to confuse, Steve DC is on the left, the other Steve is on the right. All 4 of these people were some of my very favorites--nice, nice people)

Romanio and me. He was precious--Is it possible to adopt a 30 year old?

THE girls: Jane (2JsonBoard, Phyllis (don't think she's a CCer, so perhaps this will encourage her), me, Pat (Snuffie), Barbara (islandgirl50)

Me, after 2 (or maybe it was too) many Bellinis with Fernando, the fun Pulse bartender, and Coin and friend, frequent attendees to Pulse.

My birthday night. The entire ship dressed up for my party!

Coin (www.youtube.com/coinseurotrip) & silly me hoping to be in a future short film

Mimito4, thanks for posting the great pictures. I believe the name of the hostess you're referring to (wearing green in the photo) is Paula Jean Pfitzer. She's such a lovely person.

My movie-star husband, Don with Jane & Jim (2JsOnboard)

Marge (Margie2) and husband Ron

By now the you-know-who girls with Cruise Director Rick (whom we loved by the way!)

Again, embarrassed to say I can't remember names, particularly since we had such fun. A suggestion--could we ask them to supply CC name tags with a space for the screen name for our CC parties?

As I'm trying to post pictures, I keep getting bumped from the board for "access violation" (sounds pretty ominous). CC must think I'm spamming even though I'm not using their bandwidth. Anyway, each post is limited to 6 pictures and you should host them at another site such as photobucket or flicker, etc.

Now, back to the pictures. . .

When I left I believe the 2JsOnboard were singing Eagles tunes.

Even the officers have fun on occasion in Pulse.

with that sweetheart, Ross the Boss

and more sweethearts, Rey and Ritchie Rich

and sweet, sweet Liebert

Teresa, you certainly posted a lot of nice pictures.

I was also glad to see pictures of some of the Cruise Critic members along with some of the officers and the crew; including some of our favorite Lido Deck Stewards.

Seeing the pictures makes me look forward even more to being back on the ship in January.

Keith, you didn't think you'd get to slide, did you? These are a few pictures from the Symphony Trans-Pacific Crossing, March 2009.

Posting all theses pictures must have been quite a job, so thank you thank you. The shots of the ship are great reminders that wonderful times are not that far away (Jan 8th for us). Best of all, thanks for the picture of the famous Keith. It's wonderful to have a face to attach to all his sage advice.
Thanks again.

Terrific pictures and best of all, our wonderful Lido guys. By the way, there is a Rey (he's terrific), but in your picture of Ritchie and "Rey", that's really Ritchie and Raymond.

Trivia: your cruise was Ritchie's first after returning from vacation (we were on #9321 just ahead of you and we saw him, and fellow Lido guy, Clark, on the gangway coming on board from their well deserved break) and that explains his extra layer of tan.

Thank you again, Mimi, for all these great pictures, and for taking the time to set everything up here so that we could share the fun with you. Great job!

Chuck-

Teresa - you are a genius with the camera. Thanks for a most enjoyable post.

I need not ask if you had a wonderful cruise. It's obvious that you did!

Teresa, I am just thankful that you didn't post a picture with the platter of sushi that we ordered in Silk Road.

Your pictures are great.

Chuck you are so right. That is Raymond. Now I fear I didn't get a photo of Rey. I shall have to dig some more.

Keith, I don't believe I took a picture of that platter, but it is forever engraved in my mind. I do remember you and Joe Kita digging in with a vengeance.

And thanks for your nice comments. I hope this will inspire others to use this thread as the CCers picture thread. I think it's great to put a face with the names we all have befriended on here. I know some have asked me in the past, so forgive me if this sounds too elementary, but all you have to do is upload your pictures to a hosting site. I happen to use photobucket, but there are others such as flicker, etc. Then you click on the picture icon (looks like a landscape) at the top of the reply box where you type your entry. A pop-up window will come up that says "Please enter the URL of your image:" http://thedirectlinkofyourpicture (you'll find this on your photohosting site for each picture when you click "share". Voila, your picture will then show up in the body of your entry.

Default Inan?

What a wonderful review, and what equally wonderful photos. Thank you so much.

Like you, I appreciate the Lido guys. In the last photo below, you have a lovely photo of them. Is it possible that you can identify the man in the right rear, barely visible, not wearing a hat or serape? He looks a lot like one of my very favorites, Inan, quiet and dependable, and always there when one needs him. I thought he was on the Symphony, but it would be great to know that he is on the Serenity.

Thanks again for a wonderful, personal review.

Pincus, I can't identify him, but you're probably right about who it is because that picture was taken on the Symphony's Transpacific crossing this past March. My last 2 entries were of pictures taken on that journey.

Thanks so much....yes, you did notify us that these were from the Symphony...I was just too immersed in the photos to notice or remember...they are so much fun.

Okay, I surrender. Your name is Teresa, not Mimi! Sorry to have misnamed you all along. But how'd you become Mimi, if I may ask?

Pincus, I believe Inan is actually the fellow IN the (red-&-white) hat and serape and wearing dark glasses, but in all other respects just as you described.
