Home in Florida from NCL Jade Istanbul-Athens

We have been home 2 days with great memories of the trip from Istanbul to Athens. Our first time on NCL and loved it. Extra precautions were taken to keep everyone healthy and it worked. The entertainment was top notch, especially the group of young singers. We never missed a show. The itinerary was amazing. Istanbul was an unexpected surprise. We really loved it. We did all of the excursions on our own, taking local public transportation or shared taxies, except in Egypt. We had heard horror stories about safety issues and were glad to have an armed guard aboard for protection. The pyramids were amazing but Cairo was so hot, crowded and dirty. We were glad to be back on our clean, safe ship. I only wish I had brought my walking sandals for touring.
Except for a disappointing meal in the Jasmine, which was not worth the extra $15, we were very satisfied. Both Le Bistro and Papa's were great! The Garden Cafe offered a wide selection of excellent food. The Grand Pacific had good service and a good menu. Our stewards did a great job keeping us comfortable. 8058 was always clean and ship-shape. We look forward to another trip.
