I have a recent knee injury, so treadmills and bicycle are not
good. Does anyone remember if the Star had elliptical machines? Do they offer yoga or other classes? Is there a fee? Thanks. (hoping not to gain 20 lbs!) |

All Princess ships have at least one elliptical. The larger the fitness center, the more diversity and quantity.

Star has ellipticals. Offers yoga, pilates, and spin classes for a fee. Stretching and ab classes are free. If you don't want to gain weight, you need to watch what you eat, which can be difficult on a cruise. Better to enjoy yourself and worry about it after the cruise. Sorry for the double post. This forum seems to be having problems lately registering posts.

Thanks all for the info. I know well about weight challenges on-board.
Usually I can walk/run it all off. Fingers crossed. |

I know your concern. I reinjured the medial meniscus cartilage on my left knee just before our Alaskan cruise on the Star in September. My left knee was swollen to almost twice the size of my right knee and I could only bend it about half as far. I could walk ok, but couldn't run on the treadmill for more than a few minutes. I took the Yoga and Spin classes. I was suprised I could do the spin, but it didn't seem to bother me.
