I am cruising Transatlantic in November, Barcelona to Miami, with stops at Funchal and Bermuda. I have been agonizing about which side of the ship to choose for a balcony cabin, since my little group had a previous horrible experience on a Panama Canal cruise, Miami to San Diego, in January. (We were on the South, or sunny side of the ship, cruising west. Our balcony was in full sun from morning until sunset. The balcony was so hot we couldn't go out until sundown. When we opened the balcony door, a blast of hot, humid air hit us.) I now realize that for a tropical cruise route, one should choose a cabin on the North, or shady, side. I have been unable to find info on air and sea temperature for mid-Atlantic at the latitude of about 33 N. In November, is it likely to be cool or warm? If cool, one would want a sunny balcony, etc.
Thanks for the benefit of your experience! |

Looked it up and sea temps will run between 50 and 66 degrees depending on location.Hope that helps.

In Panama, it's hot EVERYWHERE....you were about 8 degrees off the equator!
For a TA, it's going to be cooler, even if it's a summer crossing! |
