Default Celebrating 2 birthdays

Our Cruise is on the 19th. My bday is the 15th and my DH is the 24th. Any suggestions on how to celebrate them on the ship. My children and grandchildren are going with us.

In my family, all 4 nieces/nephews (ages 7-20) have their birthday within a 2 week span. We surprised them on a summer cruise by having the cabins decorated, and having a cake for all 4 of them at dinner one night. All 4 names were on the cake, and the maitre'de lite the candles 4x, so each would feel special, and have a chance to blow them out! The staff sang happy birthday (more like hoppy birday), and it was a hit with all of them. You can order the cake/decorations before you get onboard.

Our roll call did the cake bit and meet at Noon one day at lunch to celebrate birthdays in the dining room. That was fun too. Some presents were exchanged and someone even brought party favors.

Sounds like fun! I will check this out at the website. Thanks!

That sounds like fun but I'm not sure how the roll call thing works. I didnt know about message boards for cruises on our last cruise. The roll call for the Sensation on the 19th on cc hasnt been very active.

The room decorations and cake, etc. really make a celebration more fesitve. We just got off the Victory last weekend, and had celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We entered our stateroom on the first day to find the room decorated, and a cake, roses, and drink coupons waiting for us. It really added to the celebration!

What a wonderful surprise! I just checked on a cake at the website and not expensive at all and they will serve it at one of the dinners and will sing too.

The cake happens to be surprisingly good- at least the chocolate one is. Better than most of the desserts served in the dining room, imho. And the room decorations are also really nice, considering the price. Don't think you can go wrong with either, or both.

My wife celebrated her birthday on our cruise last year, we paid for the room decorations, and our TA bought her a cake and a bottle of wine. I have a video of the cake and our waitress/asst waiter singing in the MDR.

I think this year, we are going to take some decorations, and let the kids do it one day when "mommy" is out of the room. We can do more for the $35 or so that Carnival charges.

The cake was good, but with so much other food on the cruise, I am pretty sure we didn't finish it! So I don't know if we will do it this year either. My wife seemed to think it would be best just to do her cake when we returned.

We will see.

Yea, was telling my DH about the cake and he said "we cant eat all they offer now!" LOL so not sure we will do that either but it is really a good price for the cake.
