Even though I'm not booked on her, I'm still really excited! I can't imagine how those feel that are actually sailing on her.

So... if the theater only seats 1300 people but the ship will hold 6300 passengers, how many showtimes will there be each night. I know that not everybody goes to the evening shows, but two shows will only accomodate 2/5ths of the passengers. And what will happen when the diving/circ du aquos show is being presented in a theater with only 750 seats. I suppose it will be ticketed, like the ice shows on the Freedom Class ships, but here you would have to do nine shows for everyone to see it. I'm sure they've worked it all out, but I'd like to know how.

First... I am very happy that the ship cleared the bridge. Secondly, Hairspray is shown 4 times in the Theater.

It's 5400 double occupancy and far from everyone on the ship goes to shows.

When I heard the 750 seat number I had a similar thought....would be a lot of shows or some very disappointed folks...

Hope it does not become a problem. I am sure there was a lot of research done before...and with extra venues if multiple shows are on at the same time that may well take care of it...

Warning: some expletives used in the people's reaction!

It makes the QM2 passing under the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge look like a piece of cake!

Who the hell wants to go on a cruise with 6000+ other people. Can you imagine the embarkation, can you imagine the disembarkation, can you imagine trying to get to your tour or touring with 6K of your best new friends.

I can't imagine what formal night dining is going to be like trying to make your way down the elevators to the main dining room entrance. I think it'll be like Las Vegas on a new years eve. You can count me out on this kind of circus cruise, I don't care how nice the amenties are.

Size matters and sometimes you can be too big Too bad the bridge didn't cut the top half of the ship off. Then us cruisers woudn't worry about having to be in port with this freak of a ship.

Since the ship is bigger, I assume it will not only have more people, but also more space, more elevators, more dining room tables, and maybe even more exits for embarkation and disembarkation.

I'm glad to hear there are more shows. Will all the evening entertainment be present three or four times?

My original comment was not to say how bad it would be; I was just curious as to how they were going to work it out.

Theoretically it would get under the bridge with her stacks lowered (they made them retractable), if they went at low tide and if she was cruising at or near a certain speed so she would be lower in the water but who knew for sure until it .

In reading about the schedule for it to pass under the bridge it was delayed by several hours - probably so they would have the tide and channel just right. So no one was surprised it cleared, but it was still exciting to watch.
