Default Samana Dominican Republic Churches

I'm going to be in Samana on 22 November with the Norwegian Dawn. I'm used to cruising with Holland America and they always have Catholic Priests aboard for Mass and I hear Norwegian doesn't normally have Church services. Does anyone know if there is a Catholic Church in Samana?

I went to Samana this year on another cruise line and most excursions were to an island called Cayo Levantado. We had to tender to get there and most excursions were via tenders. I'd assume that if you take an excursion directly to Samana, you'll be able to find
a church but if you are on a tour I don't know how you'll be able to manage attending services. Good Luck!

DR is a very catholic nation, so I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding a catholic church. just take one fo the tenders directly to shore and ask the information people there.

We'll be there on a Sunday in December and I've come up with nothing when researching for Catholic churches in the Samana area.

There seems to be quite a few on the western side of the island but nothing in the east.....at least not listed online.

We just got back. There is a chapel aboard the Pearl...not very big, maybe 10-15 seats. I visited the chapel on Sunday and it was peaceful and nice, but no organized church service. I was amazed in Samana because I expected to see many church buildings...but did not. St. Thomas, on the other hand, seemed to have many more.
