The RIVER CLOUD II is very upscale. Now with the PREMICON QUEEN out I´d put her on second place with the PREMICON QUEEN being first place on the list of the most upscale river cruise ships.

BTW there won´t be a RIVER CLOUD in 2010. Seacloud sold the ship. It´ll be the ROYAL CROWN

You might get more feedback on the Luxury Board. Most of the comments on this board are on mainstream lines and not luxury ones....

Hi Steamboats
Have you heard about Premicon building three new ships?

I thought the company was owned by the previous owner of KD Cruises. Some say it is owned by Hilton/ Do you think they will build one for the US/Aussy Market

Mike,

Premicon is a ship investment company. They do own a bunch of river cruise ships which are operated by various companies. They started out doing their own river cruise business with the Premicon Queen. They also sell the Avalon Poetry and Avalon Tranquility during the winter season. Premicon owns a couple of other companies like K-D or the Dresden Steamboat Company.

I think I remember that they wanted to build two more luxury river cruise ships for the Premicon Queen Line. But I haven´t heard anything lately. There are also rumors that they are interested in buying the MS Mozart and maybe the MS Dresden (the last two river cruise ships which still belong to Deilmann). But those are rumors.
