Silver Shadow - 12/11 - Barbados to FLL

We will be on the ship in 6 weeks. I would like to know from any CC'ers that have been on the ship recently if Brancho Melosovich (sp?), dining waiter, is on board. He has been on some of our cruises before and was excellent.

Jeff and I (Susan) will also be on this cruise...definitely excited!! We have not been on the Silver Shadow since December, 2006, so we don't know which crew/officers are on board.

Tatulli got off the Shadow on 9/24 to be with his wife for the birth of their second child. He will be getting on a different ship on some of their more challenging (read dangerous) itineraries starting in December, I believe. He will be back on the Shadow for the LA to Tahiti cruise if all goes according to plan.

We found him to be charming every time we've sailed with him.

Daddyo, we enjoyed sailing with Branko many times, first on the Wind in 1997, and several times since, mainly on the Whisper. He was a fine and polished multilingual Serbian waiter. We last saw him in late 2006 on the Whisper. At that time, he was also head waiter in Le Champagne. In spring of 2008 he was still assigned to the Whisper but was on vacation while we were aboard. We were just on the Shadow this September and asked about Branko, but nobody knew where he was, and some believed that he had left Silversea or retired. We'll be asking again on the Spirit in January. If you discover anything, please report.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, we really enjoyed his conversations about how much his life had changed since the civil war in '84. We would look forward to seeing him again.

Duct tape - refresh our memories - when did we last cruise with you? It will be good to see familiar faces as well as make new friends.

We have been going through our notes from our last Shadow cruise which had a similar itinerary. The only different stops are Iles des Saintes and Antigua. We'll try and do similar yet slightly different things and mostly enjoy the warmth and company!

mea culpa, all. I misread the date of your trip. We go to Barbados on Thursday! I wondered why there were 2 threads...duh. Have a terrific time. I will report back on the state of the ship.
