Default Comment Card Followup

I just got a call from Celebrity. They were following up on my comments on our cruise in October. Maybe they are starting to listen to us. I sure hope so. While they had not passed on my additional comments on another piece of paper, they did address my additional notes at the end of the survey.

I had praised the new Captain's Club benefits. I criticized the prices of the liquor and photos, as well as the diminishing number of trivia games on board. I added that the coupons which required Capt's Club member to purchase something to get a freebie or % off were not of interest to me. I also told them that I was happy that Celebrity had returned to the length of cruise OBC for future cruises purchased on the ship.

My last cruise was a Panama Canal transit. I praised most of the ports. Did comment that we didn't care for Acapulco.

Would like to hear if anyone else has gotten calls following up on their comment cards. Would really like to know that the time we take to fill out those cards means something!

I have never received a call from a comment on my comment card, but always get calls or e-mail when I send comments after the cruise by e-mail.

I got both a phone call and email response for the comment card I filled out on my October cruise on the Mercury. They also went into the specific items I mentioned, so I think they really are beginning to listen......yeah! I had a wonderful cruise and there were no negative comments.

I've only received feedback when I've written to Celebrity to compliment staff. They usually say that they appreciate the comments and will pass them on to the staff involved.

Out of curiosity, how did they respond/what did they say? We made a similar point about the on-board prices of special promotions (e.g. the cost of wine tasting, martini flights, poker tournament, etc.) as I felt they really didn't offer any value for money after our last Solstice cruise (May 2009). We otherwise really enjoyed the cruise. We never got any response (not that I was expecting one).

Hi Nancy, Yes we got a call from Celebrity last night following up on our comment card. We also praised the new Elite benefits. It was nice to find out that they actually read all those comments we write.

Mrs. Cruiser just fielded a call from Celebrity following up on our 10-10 to 10-23 Eastern Mediterranean. She said they were very receptive to her comments, especially the seating for two in the MDR on Equinox. The tables were so close together you were really at a table for four/six/eight, depending on the arrangement.

On our recent short jaunt on the Merc I got a phone call just prior to the cruise. "Just checking" was the reason given for the call.
On return I got an online survey the week after we got back and a phone call the day after that. It was obvious that the caller post cruise new nothing about the online survey BUT she had our written comments from the form onboard at hand.
We had quite a chat about the new Elite program and the ship itself. Nice to know someone read my comments.
