Default Infinity FV Corner staterooms

For our 30th anniversary we had a guarantee FV stateroom booked for our Panama Canal sailing in April and were just assigned a non-corner FV on deck 7. After a quick call to Celebrity I was able to switch to a corner FV but the only corner available at this time is on deck 9. Are there any cons to the corner FV's on deck 9. Is noise from above a huge issue? I would have preferred 7 or 8 but there were no corners available and I really wanted that corner balcony for the Panama Canal. I will of course keep my eyes open from now til April for any cabins that may open up. Thanks in advance for your input.

The short answer is Yes. I have had corner FV cabins but not deck 9. Right above you is the outdoor seating for the buffet. You will probably hear chairs being moved around. Early in the morning the crew may be cleaning the area as well and they occasionally move the furniture. People also tend to hang over the balcony and occasionally throw food to the seagulls. But your balcony has some cover and I would take the corner FV even with a few noise issues.

take the corner. Then monitor the X web site every day to see if any other corner has opened up....grab it, or call your TA ASAP.

That's how I got 8166! Panama Canal in January.
