Still no room assignment

I booked an inside guarantee on the Emerald for November 29th. I still haven't gotten my assignment. Anyone on this sailing in the same situation?

Not on your sailing, but no worry!

You may not find out until you board the ship, but you will have a stateroom ready for you. Sometimes assignments come early, sometimes late and sometimes not at all before you leave. What happens with one passenger, won't necessairly happen to others, it just all depends on many factors, such as when you booked, the category you booked, how well that category sold, etc.

On our PCL sailing, we received our cabin assignment 2 days before sailing date. Great cabin WC accessible on the pool deck!

I'm sailing Dec 5 and still waiting...that's OK I like the anticipation of it all. Don't worry they'll have a room for you just enjoy the guarantee experience.

Yep, same sailing, same situation, but different guarantee category.

Booked a guarantee balcony on the 11/20 Panama cruise and had a BH (partially blocked). Found out this morning that we've been upgraded to a BB category on the Aloha deck. I'll take it.

We booked our first cruise without knowing our room assignment. Not sure what to expect. Not sure if we'll do it again.

Since we booked the deluxe cruise tour afterwards, we figured we had to make it up with the unknown inside cabin game.

I just got a move over offer on our nov 15 sailing...perhaps this will happen to some who are waiting

We had a room GTY with Princess and wanted our two cabins together because of travelling with kids but couldn't get confirmation of the rooms. We needn't have worried...two lovely cabins next to each other.

A 'move over offer' is given by the cruise line when the ship is oversold. They offer benefits to those offered the 'move over' to go to a different sailing, different ship (sometimes) and even a different itinerary (sometimes). They begin these usually with a minimum offer such as an upgrade, shipboard credit, etc. If they can not get enough passengers to accept, they UP the offer to bigger and better, until they find enough passengers willing to move.
So, if a ship is oversold, and you are flexible with your travel plans, it can be a great deal for some if you happen to get the call. But if you can not move to another sailing, no worrys, the offer is totally voluntairy and there is always someone willing to accept, so those with a confirmed booking are never turned away at the pier.
