Default Even Worth It To Book The Dream Now?

Hello everyone! My question is this: has the Dream been in service long enough now that it is pretty much trashed and worn out? Will it even be worth it to book if it is that bad? When will Carnival start offering deep cut-rate fares to fill the ship? I just want to be sure to book a cruise that I will enjoy! Thanks everyone for your help with this!

YES!!!! The dream will be absolutely beautiful for a very long long time!! Carnival, in my opinion, takes very good care of their ships!
As far as deep discounts, one never knows when the rates will go up or down. I was surprised that the Oasis prices are still out of my reach a year and a half after she first sails! I think the prices on the dream are reasonable for a new ship.
If you want to enjoy a cruise on the dream, consider joining our cruise critic group cruise on Feb. 20, 2010! We have lots of discounted private tours and hotel, etc. We also have lots of fun events planned for onboard the ship. Also, John Heald will be the CD this sailing and so we have him to look forward too as well!!

Oddly phrased question

But, we have looked into bookings for late 2010 and they seem to be in line with those on the Miracle and Legend for equal cabins.

Why would you think the Dream would be trashed and worn out? She's brand new and sailing across the Atlantic.

We sailed on the Fantasy in June and she was built in 1990 and she was certainly not trashed or worn out.

The Carnival Dream will be considered a "New" ship until the Carnival Magic makes her debut in June 2011, then the "New" will be dropped from the Carnival Dream like it was from the Carnival Splendor. Personally I do not feel that any ship that is 6 months or older a new ship because by then thousands of people have cruised on it.

Well, I don't know. Everyone is always asking about the worst ship, worst cabin, worst whatever. All I could figure was things go bad pretty quickly, practically overnight. I wasn't trying to be a smarty-pants...

I have seen those threads but I think they are more about service, food, location of a cabin. There are always people who will complain about something. My suggestion would be to read the member reviews, aren't that many for the Dream yet, but I think the reviews give a lot of different views and can help you decide for yourself what to expect from each ship.

I often think people act like they are buying real estate they will be living in a long long time they get so into picking the most perfect cabin on the ship. ... Iv been guilty ... I get my heart set on a particular cabin like last Sunday, emailed my PVP to do it first thing on Monday ... and someone booked it Sunday night at 11 pm and I felt dissapointed.

People take this stuff so seriously and maybe we all need to lighten up?

We'll let you know. We're on The Dream on 12/3/09 and even going to try out a cove balcony. We've never been on any Carnival ship that was "worn out".

I know how you feel. I feel lucky though to have gotten the room I want for our next cruise which is on the Dream.

Did no one pick up on the "tongue in cheek" element in the OP's post?
