Default operating hours for the slide on Legend

I read in a post that the slide was only open fo 4-5 hours each day, and that not all pools are open while at sea? Does anyone know if this is this the case with Carnival Legend? We leave on Friday and our the big thing for our kids is the pool and slide time. Thanks.

The waterslide is open on sea days from 10am - 5pm and port days 12pm - 5pm.
The waterslide is lots of fun.
On our Oct 11 cruise, on the first sea day, one pool was empty until about halfway through the day. On the last sea day, one pool was empty for the whole day.
There are 2 small pools midship and there is a real small pool aft for adults only. The kids seemed to have lots of fun in the main pools.
The pools and the slide are salt water.

I read in some recent Miracle Capers that the slide was open 12 PM to 4 PM. That's a good long time, I think!

Default Beware of the slide!

We were on Legend this summer... here is what I can tell you about our experience...

It is not on the same deck at the pools... you will have to go up to another deck on the back of the ship...

Also, be sure to wear flip flops or some water shoes... we had to stand on the wood at the bottom of the stairs and the wood flooring gets hot!

And it is very windy up there so you will be chilly after you are wet and going back up the slide entrance to wait for your next turn.

Watch one of the ship channels on the tv for the rear view of the ship so you can tell how long the slide line is. We did and always went when the lines died down.
