I looked at a weather map earlier today and it seemed to be off the coast of Mexico. So unless it swings back the other way, you probably won't have any port changes.

Just checked: it's to the left of Cuba. http://www.sailwx.info/hurricanes/st...l?stormnum=521

Smile What port are U sailing from

Ida should be no problem for sail-a-way from any port South of JAX.

You can track storm and forecast track at http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/grap...daynl#contents

Weather person on GMA is broadcasting from Pensacola where the winds are blustery, but he says Ida will die by tomorrow.

November is typically the end of hurricane season, so hopefully Ida will be the last one this year.

Just heard on news Ida is downgraded to tropical storm though some portions of Gulf Coast have been evacuated.

I can't see Ida lasting much longer.

From where I stand it is to the right of Cuba. Just joshing.

Since Ida is west of Cuba it would have to undergo a major rejuvination to survive a trip across Florida so Eastern Caribbean cruises should not be changed due to her.

Smile From Gulfport, MS

We are just starting to see a bit of rain, winds are picking up but nothing bad. Our home is on the water and the tides are running a few feet above normal and we expect to see it continue to rise throughout the evening hours and early tomorrow morning.

The TV station from New Orleans has advised that the Carnival Triumph which was scheduled for it's maiden voyage from that port will postpone it's Tuesday departure until Wednesday. Because of the shortened cruise time, passengers are offered a 50% refund if they want to cruise or a 100% refund if they cancel. I haven't heard any news from the Mobile port, but I can't see that any of this storm system will impact any Caribbean cruises after Tuesday night.

Hope this helps!

Jennifer
