Default Anyone stayed in the mini-"bubble" balcony?

I'm booked in 6214 on the Mariner -- and noticed it has a large glass mini-bubble in front. It's the balcony that's all the way forward.

Looks interesting! Anyone have pros/cons in staying there? Is the glass frosted -- or can u see out of it just fine?

Thanks!

This is 6514 on the Freedom. You can go underneath the railing and be right at the bubble if you like. I would choose this cabin again. Enjoy!

We had cabins just like that on our two recent cruises, one on Mariner (just a couple of decks higher). The bubble just shields you from the wind when the ship is moving (or if it's simply windy). The balcony (behind the railing to the front) is the same size as any other, and you can sit on your balcony and have a clear view to the front of the ship, as well as to the side. What's not to like?

6514 on Independence. Great forward view and some shelter from wind and rain. Enjoy!

Great! Thanks all for the pics. I also found a great one -- just after I posted.

I'm booked on the Freedom for Jan 3rd---cabin 6214---I didn't know it was a bubble cabin. After seeing the pictures, I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for the info.

Ray, We were in 6514 (other side) on liberty this past march and loved it. would do it again in a heartbeat. Also we got to go to the pyramid lounge for muster. we will see you january 3 on freedom. We would have booked it again but it is a D2 (won't hold 3) so we had to go in a D1 and luckily we got a corner aft (which we haven't done yet) all I can say is way in the front is great, hope I can say the same for the back. I also loved being just one floor from the promenade so we don't have to wait for the elevator to get our snacks from the cafe or sorrentos just one flight down. looking forward to seeing how you like it. Will we see you at the M&M? Ruby

We had a similar room on the Enchantment, but it was in Deck 8 OS right next to the wing. We were able to chat with the Captian before and after docking maneuvers. It was way cool. No bubble though.

Thanks for the info---Oh BTY--We were in the aft cabin 7708 pryor to our cabin change, so instead of walking from the back of the ship. We will be walking from the front of the ship. The distance to the Bull & Bear on the Prom. is about the same. This is my hangout.
See You Soon
