The speakers for that lounge are in the ceiling...meaning they are in your floor. They do karaoke, the Quest, gameshows, bands, and other dance nights in that lounge. If you are the type to retire early, I would not book that room.

Have been on GOS several times and actually there has never been much of anything going on in Singing In The Rain Lounge. The other activities are all in as I recall the Safari Lounge which is aft of the SIR. I really don't think that above SIR would be all that bad.

I agree with the last poster. The games mentioned were all held in the South Pacific Lounge at the very aft of the ship last year on our cruise. I don't remember anything specific in the Singing in the Rain lounge except maybe a trivia game or something. I don't think you are in a bad spot.

I knew Safari was wrong after I wrote it, but could not think of the right name.

Last year we booked 7156 right above the South Pacific Lounge. TA told us to expect noise. It's more of a vibration from the speakers, but it was every night until 1 or 2 in the morning. This was an aft cabin, huge balcony. Even with the noise, i would stay in it again.

As a trivia nut, I loved the Grandeur's many name that tune trivias. Some of which were in the SIR lounge, but none late at night.
