I have friends that are either booking Constellation or Infinity through the Panama Canal. The rooms they are looking at are fairly midship. When we were on Radiance we were so glad we were at the front that stuck out farther (deck 7) so we could look directly down at the water going through the locks. Would they have the same blockage (life boats) looking down from midship on CO or IN? Normally it would not matter but I think it might on this one. Hate for them to be disappointed.

I have been on midship balcony of the Infinity and don't remember having my view blocked looking down. My friends are on the Infinity on 10/10 thru the canal. Have they looked at aft balconies for the same view you had?

We just returned from the Panama Canal cruise on the Infinity (San Diego to Fort Lauderdale) and were on deck 6, cabin 6144, and were sooo happy with our cabin. Deck 6 sits even with the ship (except for sweet sixteen at front of ship which stick out a little further) and cabins on above decks sit further back. We were glad we were on deck 6 and not any higher, becasue we would have been looking down on other balconies below. Our balcony was awesome, very large, table, chairs and two loungers. The only thing we would have changed was to be on the port (left) side of ship, heading from CA to FL. But lower decks going through canal is definitely better, in my opinion.
