Is it true that with a spa room you only get 2 spa passes

We have a spa room on the Dream reserved for 3 people. I have read on here that you only get two spa passes per cabin. Is this true?

I understand what the "passes" are for in the spa.

Yes, I too have read you get two passes to the spa, the 3rd person has to pay $150 on a 7 day.

PS I am thinking with two bracelets, that two could take turns using the facilities, if all 3 dont have to be in there at once. Whichever two are wearing the bracelet, they are going to let them in... can you trade off a little?

what youve read is correct. You only get the passes for the first two people booked in the spa cabin.

When we were on the Splendor this Aug., the first time we went to use the spa, they asked a few questions and checked on the computer with our S&S cards, then gave us the 2 bracelets.

So they are probably matching the bracelets with the S&S cards. If you have 3 people that are thinking of sharing the use of the 2 bracelets, then it may not work for the 3rd person going with his/her own S&S card.


Ah, actually you don't need to show/leave your S&S card. My wife and I did that because we wanted to get a key for the locker. So we didn't need a key, we didn't need to leave the S&S card

Obviously I am a little thick, but why would you encourage someone to cheat and lie? Doing things like you are suggesting is why things are ruined for everyone.

They give you unlimited access to a private area that has a Thalassotherapy Pool, a Turkish Sauna, a regular sauna, a couple of aromatherapy and relaxation rooms.

You also get slippers in your cabin that you can take home, as well as a thicker robe (which you can't take home) and tan beach towels instead of the blue. You also get Elemis samples (body soap, shampoo etc) in your cabin.

We actually did not book online. DH called and made our reservations and we were not told this information. I have to say I am a bit disappointed. I may not have chosen the spa room if I had know that the 3rd person could not benefit.

Do you know if your husband asked about the spa passes when he called, or what was said?? I guess this is like when you booke ES, some reps arent being told about no name changes.

Nothing was mentioned about the spa besides we are excited to have those extra priviledges. With that being said the lady he spoke with knew we booked 3 people in the room. I realize there is nothing that can be done about this now and I do like our room but it is a bit disappointing.

The way it was on the Splendor is they checked to make sure you are in a spa cabin and then you get the bracelets. You MUST leave your S&S card at the desk to get the card lock for the door to the Thalasso pool and the thermal suite. They had free/open access at one time and found people were sneaking in, thus they installed card locks for the thalassopool. The thermal suite rooms did't have the card lock....

If there are three of you then you can basically share one of the braceletes, which means only two of you can go at one time and not all three! They do not check the actual S&S card after you get the bracelets!!!

I just noticed that you do not sail until July 2010....so you have plenty to time to cancel the reservation and rebook a regular cabin.

We sailed in a Spa Cabin on the Splendor (booked through a PVP) and we actually knew before we booked with the PVP about the 2 person limit.

At the time, all the "advertisements" about the Spa Cabins on the Splendor had this restriction listed....along with the no smoking policy.

I have also booked a spa cabin and was not told that only the first two get the spa privledges but since it is my 15 year old daughter it will be alright.

Keep the spa cabin, share the benefit (I was told by the spa manager they don't care WHO in the cabin is using the facilities, and that 'sharing' the benefits is perfectly acceptable) - we had 3 to the cabin on the Splendor and did just that (shared). You will LOVE the spa amenities.

At least you arent in the situation of some who posted they got the cabin with one of those free upgrade sales and didnt get the spa priveledges. They were never told you had to specifically book those cabins to get them, not get upgraded to them. They counted on getting the spa priviledges and were pretty upset when they got back.

At least you know ahead of time.

Since you would be penalized (and you were not informed)....then if you booked with a TA....they should purchase the Spa privileges for the 3rd person. If it was a PVP, then Carnival should give you the perks for the 3rd person.

If it was a PVP, I would contact Guest Service with the name of the PVP and file a formal complaint.

Not trying to sound harsh but I say think of it this way...at $150 for the 3rd person you could take it as paying $50 per person instead, that may help a little
