Wow. You're very organized. I'm the opposite... lol

Looks like a good list to me...

I did notice you have contacts, though, so I assume you also have glasses. I didn't see those listed anywhere. I used to wear contacts and glasses and I would have been MISERABLE if I forgot my glasses. Nothing like taking your contacts off at the end of the day... kind of like getting out of your bra.

Cruise Packing List

• Face wash (3 oz. or less) Available for free in bathroom

• Body wash (3 oz. or less) Available for free in bathroom
• Shampoo and conditioner (3 oz. or less each) Available for free in bathroom
• Games (cards or other) Available for free in library of ship
• Cell phone charger (use cell phone as a clock) I would rethink using cellphone. You may get hit with roaming charges. A cheap travel clock is just fine
• Small umbrella I think it is considered bad luck to have an umbrella on a ship

You don't need beach towels. They will be provided on the ship and you can take them with you in the ports.

• Small notebook to journal with pens and a highlighter
• First aid kit (I'd put this in my checked bag)
• Games (cards or other)
• Books/magazines
• Cell phone charger (use cell phone as a clock) (I've read something negative about using your cell phone for this, but can't remember what)
• Extension cord/power strip
• Mini stereo for iPhone
• Psi bands
• Water wallet

Purse:
• All travel documents (passport, travel itinerary, airline tickets, cruise documents, medical insurance info, trip insurance info, emergency contact phone numbers, photocopy of the back of your credit cards)

• Dress/fancy outfit for elegant nights
• Shawl
• Shorts
• T-shirts
• Tank tops
• One pair of jeans
• Windbreaker
• Button-up sweater/hoodie (I'd go for the sweater and leave the hoodie-too bulky)
• Sunscreen (Ziploc)
• Aloe (Ziploc)
• Nail clippers
• Beach towels (Leave them at home. Use towels from the ship)
• Lotion
• Empty beach bag
• Backpack

Misc:
• Duct tape
• Ziploc bags of all sizes
• Corkscrew
• Rum Runner flasks
• Small umbrella (Exchange this for a poncho)
• Snorkel equipment
• Water shoes
• Travel size Woolite (I've never considered hand washing while I'm on a cruise/vacation. I have used the washer/dryer)
• Clothes pins (What for? For your washables as above?)
• Hat
• Insulated coffee mug(s)??
• Bungee cords (holds the balcony door open) (I've always used the door stop. If there is none, be creative about keeping the door open)
• Hanging closet organizer (I've never needed this, but I know that a lot of people like them)
• Shower organizer (Leave it @ home)
• Small alarm clock (I thought you were usung your cell phone for this. I bring both, but the cell phone gets turned off and put into the safe)
• Large plastic cups (1 maybe, but I bring an insulated one for cold drinks)
• Sham wow! (good for drying off swimsuits) (Leave @ home)
• Hard envelope to put purchased photographs in
• Clutch purse
Please see above.

How long is your cruise and are you going with a lot of other family members?

Once you start packing, I think you'll see how much you're taking and if you're flying, it's too much.

One thing that I always bring are binder clips to keep my towel on the chair.

Enjoy!

One thing I take on ALL cruises are the disinfecting wipes. I wipe down every door handle, TV remote, phone, etc. before anyone touches anything in the cabin.

Krissta, I love the sham wow idea. I have a list that I keep adding to after each cruise.

How about a poncho in case of rain? You can get them cheap at a drugstore.

Bubblewrap in case you buy something fragile
quarters and laundry detergent if the ship has self laundry
sewing kit with safety pins
bug spray or the little towelettes
post it notes
binoculars (small ones)
grocery thank you card for opening and locking safe

I know this is a lot of stuff but I have needed each one of these and was glad I had them.

Ziploc Quart-size Bag:
Hand sanitizer (3 oz. or less)
• Face wash (3 oz. or less)

General Carry-on:
• Undergarments

Games (cards or other)• Books/magazines

• Aloe (Ziploc)
• Nail clippers
Beach towels provided on ship whether u are by the pool or going into port

I bring this and a bit more and pack in a carry on.

Contrary to another poster do bring shampoo and conditioner. Carnival only provides a very generic shampoo and no conditioner.

Bring Immodium. Use it for 'food related' issues, see the DR for any other reason.
I try to buy pills packaged in blister packs. I try to leave as much packaging at home.
Liquid Medicine, including contact lens solution, does not have to be in your 3-1-1 but does have to be declared. See the TSA site for more info.

The Sham-wow can also be used to dry your hair. We've been using them for about 10 years now. Using the Sham-wow to get most of the water out of the hair makes the ships blow dryers more efficient.

The extension cord can be a $1 three outlet one from Walmart/Target. Very light and can be put into your checked bags.

Forget the beach towel.

Leave you cups at home. Large plastic cups can be gotten up on the Lido.

Snorkeling stuff- If you do not have enough room leave the fins at home.

We don't use organizers, even when we are in a quad. I do have a small $1 store garden tote that we put on the vanity.

Umm...Where's your toothpaste?

Thank you everyone for your input! Lots of good things.

I'm planning on using my iPhone (in airplane mode) as my clock. (There's an app for that! har har har.) I kept the alarm clock on there for the other people that are traveling with us.

And, I'm putting a lot of stuff in my carry-on because I am paranoid that my luggage will be lost! As I said, OCD. haha

No, don't ask the purser for Pepto/Immodium or you're likely to get quarantined!

One thing that I always bring are binder clips to keep my towel on the chair.

Enjoy!
The Woolite is specifically for washing bathing suits. And the clothes pins are to hang them to dry.

And that's a great tip for the binder clips! What size do you take? The huge ones?

Depending on the deodorant you use, you don't have to put it in your ziploc bag for airport purposes, a fellow traveller told me this tip when they saw me struggling to get all my liquids back in that little quart sized bag they allow. Just a suggestion if you're running out of room...
