Default San Juan pier?

I called Royal Caribbean and they could only tell me what pier for embarkation & debarkation. I'm sailing on The Enchantment of the Seas May 20, 2010 and it is visiting San Juan & St. Thomas.
Does anyone know what piers this ship docks at when its just visiting the port?

I am not 100% sure but almost certain that ships that are home ported in San Juan are docked at the Pan American pier. Ships that visit for the day use the Old San Juan piers. We were there this past March and that seemed to be the case.

I agree with Ken - every time we have taken a RCCL cruise out of San Juan, it leaves from the Pan American Pier, but every time we have just stopped in San Juan for the day, we always dock at the downtown pier.

Carnival does leave from the downtown pier. Not sure about any of the others.

Have fun!

All the RCCL ships smaller than the Voyager Class dock in Old San Juan when they are visiting for the day, the larger ones still have to dock at the Pan-Am pier even on a day visit as they are too big for downtown. We visited on Explorer and had to dock at the Pan-Am pier, but otherwise you have the convenience of being downtown
Enjoy your cruise, Enchantment is a terrific ship

We were just on the Explorer last week. We docked in Old San Juan. There were two other ships in port -- Carnival and Holland America.

Thanks to all that responded. I knew the cc members would know the answer to my question. Pretty sad that Royal Caribbean didn't lol

The usual dock is the West Indian Company Dock (it's directly across the bay from downtown Charlotte Amalie) - I think it can hold up to 3 ships, maybe 4, they were doing some work the last time I was there, but maybe it was just and extension for the larger ships. If there are more than that, they put them at the Crown Bay dock, that is west of town, a bit further away. So it would depend on how many ships are in town that day when you are.
