I'm really excited--I'll be on my first HAL cruise this Christmas/New Years to the PC on the Amsterdam. I've been reading 2 blogs--Karen and Barbara and Orlin are currently on a 67 night cruise on the Amsterdam and blog pretty regularly.
Anyway, I'll be cruising solo and would appreciate any tips you might have for me. My previous cruises have been on larger ships on Princess and Carnival. I'm really looking forward to cruising on a ship that feels more like a ship. Thanks, Faith |

Hi Faith,
My wife, Karen, and I will be on this cruise also. For us it is a precurser for the world cruise leaving Ft. Lauderdale on Jan. 6. I suggest you go to the "Roll Call, then Holland America, then Amsterdam" section (rather than the Holland America section we are now on) and go to this cruise. This will be the area where we have been discussing this cruise for many months now. Take care, Scott & Karen

Their weapons held high, their armor clanking, their banners unfurled, the steam boiling off their horses flanks. Their torches burning like tiny stars in the night as they waded or rode through the marsh and over the keep. And their battle cries could be heard up to the highest parapets of the stone castle walls.... Mac Intosh.... Mac Intosh.... Mac Intosh. |
