Default best way to prop open balcony door???

When it comes to keeping the balcony door open, what is the best way? I read somewhere here about bungie cords but how do they work? Love to sleep with fresh air! We are cruising on the Conquest in a few weeks!
Thanks!

Either use 2 foot bungies attached to railing and door handle......or cabin door rubber wedge......both work ! (bungie allows slightly more open door).

The rubber cabin door wedge can be 'wedged' between the door and the frame on the hinge side and will hold the door about 90% open.

Words of warning: Do NOT open the hallway door at the same time that the balcony door is open unless you want everything blown about your cabin. The pressure differential is tremendous!

Default Wooden wedge

Best prop is a wedge of wood, steeper than a door stop--just shove it in to whatever open position you want the door.
Much easier than the bungie cords.

2165.jpgThis is the very best way we found. You take the carnvial book off the table in the room, open the door and slide the book into the track at the top of the door and then let the door shut on the book. It keeps the door open about three quarters of the way

On all the ships I have been on there is a sign that states something like: "When the balcony door is open, the AC will automatically turn off."

Wish I'd known this last week, we found out the hard way and had to go picking stuff up that had blown about in the gust!

Genius idea using the Carnival book, we used our robe ties, that worked well.

Guess y'all miss the signs AND the information in the Capers to keep your balcony doors closed.

Open balcony doors are a fire hazard.....

Just off the Conquest, I actually didn't need anything for my balcony door. If you opened it all the way up the was a catch in the automatic closer that would hold it open. This was the same way in our friends cabin also.
