Talking Need some help about luggage tags on B2B

Hey CC,

I know some of you guys out there are B2B vets, so can you help out a newbie B2B'er?

I just booked the 2nd leg of our b2b and wanted to know, how will the cabin steward know where to take our luggage to our new cabin? We're downgrading from an aft wraparound balcony to a regular balcony. I don't want my luggage getting taken off by mistake. I know that we'll have to get off and go through customs and then get back on the ship (what a pain).

don't put your luggage out the night before docking like you would if you were done cruising. Sometime last day talk to your room steward and just inquire whether they know you are moving to another room.

There should be some acknowledgement from Carnival about your B2B and what procedures are involved to ensure a speedy transition

Talk to your cabin steward during your first week, he will help make all the arrangements.
He will get you blank tags for your luggage, so you can write your new cabin number on them.
Keep your luggage in your room. He will most likely provide you a cart to load it on.

While you are going thru customs and getting your new S&S card, they will wheel your luggage to your new cabin.

Have a great trip.

You don't neccessarily have to repack everything - they can get a rolling cart, and just hang your clothes on hangers on it, and wheel it to the new cabin.

We just did our first B2B last week. You should receive a letter in your cabin on the last sea day telling you what time to meet at the Purser's/Information Desk. We had to meet at 10:30 a.m. and an officer escorted us off the ship - through customs - and back on the ship. Very easy.

We stayed in our same cabin so didn't have to do anything else.....but I understand that your cabin steward will bring a cart and help you move your stuff to your new cabin.

Also....when you go through customs......you have nothing to declare because you are staying on the ship - it all gets declared when you actually get off the ship.

I spoke to our first cabin steward right away .Then I went to meet our seCond cabin steward .The second did the cabin early and both helped me move.He even told me not to pack everything and helped me move all on hangers. Both were very helpful
WE did not go thru customs .All new booking was done by purser .We got our new seacard from purser the night before Be advised first account will close at the end of the first cruise .New one will open on first day of second If you pay cash these are important dates Otherwise all goes on CC
It was VERY easy .WE went on a fabulous excursion that day to the GLACIERS
WE really enjoyed BTB
Have fun

Michele
