Default Which Cruise Would You Choose??

I am having a really difficult time deciding which cruise to take in the spring of 2010. I have narrowed it down to two:

Oasis of the Seas 7 Night E Caribbean
D-1 Balcony Stateroom
$4544

Independence of the Seas 8 Night E Caribbean
Grand Suite
$4564

Part of me wants to go on the Oasis, but the other side of me says "Wow! For the price I'm spending on that, I could do an 8 Night Cruise in the GS!"

Thanks for the feedback

I wouldn't mind seeing Oasis, but I don't think I would want to spend a week on her. I watched the good morning america show on Oasis and it just didn't make me want to spend more than a day on her. SOOOOO, if it were me, I would go with 8 DAYS ON INDEPENDENCE IN A GRAND SUITE. I love the grand suites and I love the freedom class.

Independence is a fabulous ship. I totally agree with you. I've never been in a GS.... for me this is a no brainer.....

Independence is a fantastic ship, we did the TA last April and I thought that she was a bit too big. We will be on the Oasis for the inaugurals but most likely it will be the only time, I just can’t imagine 5,400 other passengers to deal with. I would book the Independence and a GS in a heart beat.

i dont see a mistake either way. I am not a big room person. so grand suite is not too important. either ship will be a great time.

I would go with the bigger room and longer cruise. Another vote here for the Indy.

Echoing the others. I'd do the 8-days on Independence.

Unless this is going to be your last sailing - Independence, in a heat beat.

At this point I have no interest in the Oasis. My choice would definitely be Independence as I have yet to sail the Freedom class.

I'd do the Oasis..

Never seen the need for a suite, have already been to San Juan (4 day vacation), have no interest in Labadee, and want to go to Nassau.

Bigger room and longer cruise. Give the prices on the Oasis some time to drop then check it out.

I never sailed RCI (yet) - so this is a totally unbiased opinion. I'd go with the Independence and the suite with an extra day. Oasis just doesn't have the ports I want to go to (been there done that) and I'm not really sure I want to be on that big a ship. Now if someone were to give me a free cruise on Oasis well that's a different scenario!

I'm a big Oasis fan and would love to see her, but with the Indy you get an extra day and a much better cabin, plus the suite amenities. I say it's a no-brainer to go with the Independence.

I would suggest that you also consider the 10-night Celebrity Equinox in a Concierge Class or Aqua class cabin.
