Default My cruise reservation

I just went to RCCL to check information for my upcoming cruise next month and it showed I owed over $2,000 in options.

I have paid my cruise in full and I have not picked any options for this cruise. Is anyone else having a problem like this? I don't want to call RCCL if it is just a problem with the website, so I thought I would check here first.

Thank you.

So is it saying you have reserved things like Chops or the spa --- or is there just a generic $2000 charge?

I probably would wait until tomorrow to call. They work on the website on the weekend (usually Saturday nights) so it could just be a glitch. But I would definitely call if it's still there tomorrow afternoon.

It is just showing a generic $2,000 charge under options, but I cannot find out what these options are. I have not made any reservations for dining or excursions, have not added anything onto my cruise, so I was shocked when I saw that I owed a balance.

If it is still there tomorrow, I will call.

Thank you for your reply.

Others have also been reporting some weird things happening with their paid off reservations. Wait until tomorrow and if it doesn't clear up ,...call!!

If you do call tomorrow, please come back and let us know what was up (so if/when it happens again, others don't freak out--ok or maybe not as much as they normally would)

The same thing happened with my reservation! It is showing $90 in options and still has the original prices we paid before our price drop. I called and the agent said he was showing the correct price in the system, but that the website was just reflecting it wrong. It has been that way for 2 weeks!!

Thank you everyone for your replies!

My husband said he would feel better if we called RCCL and asked about the additional $2,000. I called a short while ago and I spoke to a very nice woman who found out what was causing the problem.

My husband is a veteran, and a few days ago RCCL showed a military rate for our cabin, I called and we were able to get the reduced rate. I didn't think anymore about it, was happy that we were able to get a discount.

I decided to check my reservation this afternoon since our cruise is two weeks away and saw the $2,000. Apparently the person that applied the military discount "hit" the wrong key, but now everything has been corrected. I just rechecked my reservation and it shows a "zero" balance. That is a lot better! Hitting that wrong key would have been very, very expensive.

Thank you again for all your replies. 14 more days and we will be sailing.

Actually, that seems to be their new "procedure" for price drops. They put a dummy $1000 charge (pp?) on your account, and someone else then converts it to your OBC within a couple of days. It freaked me out the first time they did it to me.

Thank you threecats. It does seem as though that may have been what happened instead of someone hitting the wrong key. I believe I called about the military rate the middle of this week, so maybe I should have waited a few days to see if it cleared, but seeing that $2,000 did almost give my husband and I a heart attack.

Red face Phew

OK, so I know this is an old thread, but I am so glad to have found this tonight- we have a $1900 charge on our account (which, up until tonight had been saying that we had overpaid something like $600 - which is another whole story that I don't know the answer too, but less of a worry than still owing money). I called tonight to get a residency discount that was just listed online recently and when I came back online the new $1900 'other options' charge was listed. I was planning to call tomorrow but perhaps I will give them a day or two.

My hope in replying to this thread is that it will bump it to help someone else sitting there freaking out about a huge charge?!?!
