Question Huatulco - Resort Day Use?

Are there any resorts that offer day use in Huatulco?

Default Dreams?

I know Dreams in Puerto Vallarta allows day visitors, perhaps the one in Huatulco does as well. I suggest you email the hotel.

Post Dreams

Contacted Dreams and they want $110 pp for a day pass. Seeing as we are only in the port for 5 hours (less with transit) I don't think its really worth it.

Maybe some do but not us. Can get a lot of food and drink elsewhere for $220.

There is a nice beach right at the pier. You may want to just spend the day there. If nothing else ask some of the crew for suggestions. They always seem to know the best places to go in port for affordable days in port!

Question Anyone do it?

They knocked it down to $55 because we are only there for half a day. Has anyone done this here or at another location? Will they show you a room if you want or do they just give you a temp armband and leave you to it?

If I'm going to see if I want to return, you'd think they'd be trying to sell it to you a bit.

Huatulco is the one place we have found with a GREAT beach right next to the peir. They have lounge chairs and palapas to use as long as you are eating and drinking. Food was good and drinks were priced well too. We stayed here with all the ship's dance troupe. There were some other crew members here as well. The drinks kept flowing and they must have filled our chips and guac. 3 or more times. I probably had a few more margaritas then I should have, but having our ship in view made me more confident that I would make it back safely. We have some really great photos of us swimming with our ship in the background. My hubby paid the bill and said it was less than $100 for 4 of us (drinks, chips/guac, lunch, tip) A great day!

this is our NEW FAVORITE PORT now....we took a city tour right off the pier and then shopped a little around there and then went to the beach
we were over on the far end by the rocks and hubby waded out into the water just a bit and found FISH, STARFISH, EEL, SEASNAKE, URCHINs, SHELLS its all just right there and will keep you entertained for hrs...very ENJOYABLE afternoon...alot from the ship just sat in the chairs drinking the $2 beers and enjoying the day WONDERFUL time...our next port was ACAPULCO and EVERYONE pretty much AGREED it would have been better just to stay in HUATULCO

Huatulco is one of the few Mexican towns I've never been to. Really looking forward to visiting on our Panama cruise. Thanks for the info about the beach right next to the pier - sounds perfect!!
