Default Can we visit downtown Nassau plus Atlantis same day?

Hi there, we have reserved a room at the Comfort Suites to get the passes at Atlantis - but we do not want to miss out on walking around downtown Nassau. Our ship docks at 7am and leave at 11:59 pm....all we want is to be back on the ship for 7:30 pm.....how far is "downtown" from the ship, how do we get there, and how long should it take to visit? then from there how do we get to Atlantis???

The ship docks "downtown". You walk off the ship, right down the pier, through Festival Place and you are in town. You will have plenty of time to walk through town before going over to Atlantis. If you just want to walk around town, you can easily do that in 1-2 hours and that includes time stopping in shops. For Atlantis you can either walk (over 1 mile) take a taxi or the water taxi to Paradise Island. Water taxi is $3/person each way. Taxi fare is a little more (not sure as we've never done that). We've cruised there twice and just got back from spending 5 days at Atlantis resort itself (flew down). We've used the water taxi and while some complain about having to wait, it's just the whole island time thing.

Thanks so much for your help - did not realize downtown was right at the pier! that's good....and yes, that's all we want to do is walk and browse the shops. Thanks again.
