Default Many people want to have a drink in their room and wonder how to do it.

You can call Carnival Bon Voyage office at Carnival Cruise Line and order the bottle of your choice and it will be in your room when you enter your cabin. For example, Skye Vodaka is $40. I know that is a little steep but if you figure out the price of a drink at the bar at $6.95 plus 15% versus this price. . . it is a steal. You could bring your own mix in your bags.
Call Carnival Bon Voyage office at Carnival Cruise Line and price the bottle of your choice.

If someone can't figure out how to have a drink in their room, perhaps they have had too much to drink.

That's better than the $500.00 a bottle they charge in Las Vegas!

Hi Texaspepper,

Nice to see you still watching the boards.

Had a great crossing on The Noordam in the spring so I decided to come back on The Oosteram last month, both excellent cruises and ports. Also got a great deal on The Carnival Pride out of Baltimore to The Bahamas this weekend so I leave on Friday and board on Sunday.

Hope you are both well

Brian

And.............For those that miss the fruit punch on the ship.............Buy the Hawian Punch "drink stick powder" that mixes with a bottle of water. $1.25 for a box of ten here and takes up very little room. Great mixer with rum

Last cruise, I ordered a bottle of vodka for our cabin. It mixes quite well with the passion/guava juice!

Thanks Brian. . .yes we do recall the wonderful RCL Voyager Of The Seas 15 Day Spanish Trans Atlantic from Barcelona to Galveston with you. Remember you and I shopping around Cartagena, Spain for me to get a lighter and Linda was back on board the Voyager not feeling well. We are well. Linda is dealing with the loss of her mom a few months back and the holidays are hard on her.

We went back on Voyager in Feb 09 and a few Carnival cruises as you can see from my signature.

Have you seen Spring aka Ron on the board? He has been doing a bit of cruising of recent time.

Are you still cruising alone? Never knew you situation that enabled you to cruise alone.

Thanks for the shout on this board. Keep in touch. Check our our new web site listed below. . .lots of photos.

I was referring to the rip off bottle service in clubs and at Rehab.

You can just bring your own aboard. We also bring our own blender to mix our drinks. This helps with the bill but we still enjoy the ships drinks at the night shows. I am attaching some pictures of our bar.

Is that price for a 750ml bottle or a 1L bottle?

Most likely the same size bottle you buy in the shop on board. It would be a 750ml would be my guess.

Default Buy liquor for your room?

I thought they only sold wine and champagne for bon voyage?? I also looked at the bon voyage list and thought I only saw wine and champagne...

Default Problem solved!!

I did some googling and got confirmation...

Just got off the phone from ordering our Remy Martin VSOP!! For those interested, it is $60 per 1 liter bottle. Well worth the price since this is our drink of choice.

I wish I had known this "little known fact" during our last cruise...we each (DH and I) had a double shot of Remy in the bar and the bill including gratuity was $40. We did this twice

Here is the telephone #: 800-522-7648. This is the Bon Voyage Department.

They do not have a printed list to email you and the "hard liquor" is not listed on their website. You have to tell them what type of liquor you want (ie, rum, vodka) and they will tell you what they have. Or you can just ask for your brand of choice and they will tell you what they have and the price for each. I believe all bottles are 1 liter.

They also sale beer. It is the same price as if ordering at the bar...minus the gratuity.

Never had a problem bringing my own. See no reason to spend up to 3 times the store price for a bottle.

I know some people think it is crazy to buy from the ship but I think it's crazy to risk not being let on the ship (if they do that) for smuggling a $40 bottle of liquor on board and lose out on a $2000 trip...

Not to mention, it's breaking the rules...to each his own...I try to do the right thing even if it inconvienences me.
