Hey Guys, left you a message on the other 12/11 thread. I have found a lot of FAMILY does not know about Cruise Critic. Give a shout either here or the other thread. I am on everyday now and will be lurking everyday. Hope to talk before next Friday. This is Bill's and My 28th cruise with RCCL....Yes, we love cruising. Have a few friends in SD. Live in the OC ( Work ) with a weekend home in PS. We are out there almost every weekend. We are 50 and 51, young and like to drink so we are FUN!
Should be a fun Cruise with Great weather after the first day......Always cold...Too close to California.
Have a Great Thursday!

Mike

Great, and welcome to CC. We also have late seating and in the past, not sure why but sometimes, when the Ship sees two males traveling together, they will match up other males traveling together....Not always but you never know we might be table mates. Should be a FUN FILLED cruise...Not too many kids, probably an older crowd since it is December and almost X-mas and 10 nights but I could be wrong. Off to do errands today ( Day off ), I will be back on tonight. If you guys have not done so.....Sign up for the Meet and Mingle at the top of the page. You will need you Reservation # to complete. Talk to you later.

Mike

Hi Mike,

I also noticed when two males travel alone they also put them together at the same dinner table. That happed to me on the Halloween cruise to Cabo. There are 5 of us that have our reservations linked so I am guessing we will be at one of the larger tables.

I don't know what the Meet and Mingle is. I'll check it out.

Default sounds great!

Hi Mike--
with so many cruises under your belts, we will expect a grand tour of all the 'fun' spots on the ship! we signed up for the M&M and I''m guessing there will be FOD meetings as well? We live near SDSU in the college area--great little neighborhood called 'Rolando'. I'm a young 52 and Sean is a quite a bit younger. Look forward to meeting you guys.

Damn you Tony...A young'n...I want one of them....Bill and I will have 29 years under our belt in May 2010.......I want to be Young and Pretty again.. We will have a great time...Will do our best to show you guys the ship.....Not 100 percent sure what we are doing in ports yet. Cabo is ususally Wave running and renting scooters to take photos, Aculpoco, we are on a tour with all of the Cruise Critic people, seems like a nice crowd, tour of the city and such..35.00 so seems reasonable. I hear a lot of bad things about Aculpoco so I would not feel good about exploring on our own.
If you want my e-mail is ...
pscruzinboyz@verizon.net
if you want to keep in contact....
We are in PS for the weekend.....Doing the X-mas parade Saturday night and going out afterwards....It's Christmas so it will be fun!
We should be on the ship by 2ish and meeting in the schooner Bar, Deck 5 at 3:00 pm. We are wearing Beads, kind of like Madri Gras Beads, hopefully red and green....I am organizing a cabin crawl so I need family to keep Bill and I going so you guys need to come and join. This takes place on Saturday....I will tell you all about the festivities when we meet. Keep posting and will talk to you over the weekend. I take it you know Hunter? How many are traveling with you in your group and how many rooms?
We are in 8526, an E1 balcony....should be a nice room. Are you guys going to decorate or hang anything on your door?
Oh well...it is midnight...need to stop

Mike

Hi Mike-
Hunter is a friend of ours and told us about this cruise! A couple of his work (str8) friends are joining as well, that we have not met yet.
Sean and I are in room 8102-balcony, on the bubble. Hunter said it might be noisy so we are taking ear plugs just in case:-)
I'm going to Big Lots to pick up some holiday decor for the door/room and I'll look for some red/green mardi gras beads while I'm out.
We went to December Nights in Balboa Park last night--(Christmas on the Prado) for a couple of hours--always nice to get into the holiday spirit.
Hunter, Sean and I made reservations to the Mystery Dinner on the 13th...sounds fun.
For the room crawl...if we want to add our room...do we need to provide anything other than the $5?
We didn't book any excursions yet..probably wait till we board and talk to others. I've been to Zhiuatejo on vacation previously, so am looking forward to shopping there again..I brought back a few bottles of vanilla(w/bean) in hand blown bottles.
We haven't started packing, today's project is to get Christmas presents ready for mailing to family back East.
Have fun in PS--TTYL
Tony

Mike--
I was able to find red and green mardi gras beads at Party City today.
Went to the dollar store and picked up some holiday decor for the door/room.
Gotta start packing tomorrow---
cheers!

Tony, Sorry for the delay.....I will add you to the list. Depending where you are on the list, I might use your cabin as one of the 7 where cards are going to be distibuted. I will let you know! Follow me here and on the 12/11 thread under the roll calls for ther Radiance. Figure you might have up wards of 50 people passing thru your cabin.....Hope you have fun decorations.....Did you sign up for the Meet and Mingle on Saturday....Basically it will put you in the drawing for RCCL Crap but you also meet some nice people. Right after the M&M, that is when the Cabin Crawl will happen. Follow me on the other thread or I will let you know on Friday.
Have a Great Monday.......

Mike

This is Bill and I......I am on the right!

Hi MIke,

Hunter here. I also signed up for the M&M.
What is the cabin crawl. I'm not big on reading the boards so I'm not up on everything.

Hey Hunter....It is right after the M&M and i am the leader. What it is, is a way to see all of the different type of cabins that are on the ship in case someone who wants to book a future cruise, they can see if they want an inside..to Balcony..To Junior Suite to the BIG suites. As we are crawling, We are also going to playing a hand of 7 card stud Poker. Of the 14 cabins that are being shown...7 will have cards to pass out whoever is playing. The buy in is $5.00 and who ever has the best hand will win the pool. Maybe up to 150.00 if we get a lot of people to play. But it is voluntary...Not everyone will play. It is a lot of fun and takes about an hour. I will guess between the M&M and Crawl, it will be between 1.5 to 2 hours....still enough time to enjoy the ship. Have breakfast before and lunch afterwards.
Funny, I met a guy last night in PS that knows you and the people that are sailing, can't remember his name but I thought he said he works with you all...Small world!

Talk to you later....

Mike

That is funny! Where were you when you met that guy? Live in the PS area or in San Diego. I know lots of people...

I'm in cabin 7030 by myself because I never found a cabin mate. The cabin crawl sounds like a lot of fun. This will be the third time on this ship this year and would like to see more cabins. Especially the bigger ones. Size Queen that I am.

I'm trying to post a pic of me. See if it works this time.

Hunter

Glad to see that there are other FOD's on board. I sailed on Radiance back in September and it was pretty str8. No formal FOD gatherings. Someone posted one on the bulletin board near guest services. We were the only ones who showed up. Not that it stopped us from having a good time.

I sailed transatlantic on Celebrity in April and 60+ persons showed up for the first FOD social. It was nice not having to rely on old fashioned gaydar to figure out who is and isn't...

I am going solo on this one. I look forward to seeing you all on board.

-Joe

Hi Joe,

Look forward to meeting you on board.

Over Halloween RCL had the FOD posted for 11AM in the Viking Crown. We quickly changed it to 7:30PM in the Champagne Bar.

Hey Joe,

Welcome to the thread and Cruise Critic......I was on the Sept 25th cruise....Which one were you on? I had fun but it was also very straight.
We are getting together at 3:00 pm Friday in the Schooner Lounge for the Meet and Mingle with all of the Couples that are on the other board. If you can, you should sign up for the M&M. Talk to you later..

Mike

Hey Mike,

You know, I could be Diamond in three years if I get 3 more credits next year! This cruise will be my 6th cruise and 7th credit in 20 months.
