Which side of the ship provides a better view of the islands during a 7 day Society Islands cruise, port or starboard? Thank you.

It really matters very little, since the ship, when at anchor, swings around and gives everybody a view of whatever island you're visiting.

There is a slight benefit to being starboard, on the morning when you reposition from Raiatea to Taha'a. This is very pretty, and takes places around breakfast time. Not a biggy, as this can easily be enjoyed up on deck as well, or sitting in Le Grill. And this is really the only time it matters.

For some reason we have always been on the starboard side and always enjoy the view. We paid a price for this the last time, since there we waterspouts off the port side in the morning of our passage to Moorea and we missed seing them.
We have always loved the view at sunset setting sail from Moorea at the stern while having a cocktail. It is sad to know we are heading to the end of the cruise but it is always absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking,etc. Come to think of it the view from the deck when sailing out of the lagoon at Taha'a.
