Eclipse Cruise June 10

We are new to cruising, have just booked our first cruise next year on Eclipse. Very excited. any tips from all you experienced cruisers. Ps we are in Concierge class, have we made a good choice?

Eclipse is going to be a beautiful ship. We were on Solstice in September/October, and we very much enjoyed her. I blogged about that cruise here. and you might find some interesting points there. We've already booked with another line for next year, but if Celebrity have a Solstice-class ship operating out of Southampton in 2011 we're very likely to book it.

Concierge class: well, for me the Concierge class extras weren't worth the extra money so we went with a standard balcony cabin. However many other people feel differently and the CC cabins are certainly popular. One big advantage of the CC cabins, however, is that they're high up, Sky & Panorama decks, I think. We were on the Sunrise deck, and we thought we were a deck or two too close to the ship's boats - they were very visible from our balcony.

Just one question: I can't actually see an Eclipse cruise on June 10 next year: the dates seem to be 1 June, 12 June and 26 June; and there's one starting 10 July.

Welcome aboard, dorsetlady! In your excitement, I think you have the departure date 2 days ahead of when the cruise actually begins!

Join in with the group on the boards as others have suggested! Youwill be able to talk to others on your sailing, and share ideas about any excursions you might want to do. We have shared transport and tours very often and have had a great time and made lots of new friends (and saved alot of money into the bargain!)

We are on May sailings on the Eclipse we'll look after her for you. She is the sister ship of the Solstice and equinox so you can check out your stateroon choice on posting giving details of staterooms on the Celebrity board.
