ME me me me me!!! I have to work today so no nice dinner for me!! We will go out to eat when I get home..... But I sit here at work and day dream about my upcomming cruise in 9 days!

Well I work in a hotel. So not to busy but some one has to be here. Also I am one of the bosses so to speak. I am the Director of Sales. So thanks!

Yep, I am working. A hospital never closes. I am working 16 hours today. I figured if I have to work, go ahead and do the double. They do give us Thanksgiving dinner..Oh Joy!!! free Hospital Food

5 days and Ill be in New Orleans looking for that Cafe DuMonde to try that special coffee. Doing a B2B on Triumph.

Doesnt cooking count as work? My sister says she is in charge of opening cans, lol. (I think only cranberry sauce is canned this year). Doing everything else from fresh. We are doing a smaller turkey this year, only 13 lbs. I also got the smallest spiral cut ham I could find. Happy Thanksgiving Susie. 5 days and counting. Im leaving as early as I can get out of bed on tuesday so max time in New Orleans pre cruise. Anxious to see the Drury that everyone says is nice.

Sorry you have to work today.DH & I both have to work Christmas for the 2nd year but we actually traded this year so we could be off for our 1/3/10 cruise. They extra OT will help pay for our DOD's..

I could never understand the thing about hospital food. You would think a hospital would have the very best food. The best way to get better is to eat right. Someone should put a hoslpital together with the best food for you. I bet it would do very well, while other's close.

True,right? LOL,I alsways say the reason he food is so bad is that patients will try harder to recover so they can get home and eat.BUT,the newest trend in hopital food service is to lease it out and provide true room service. first of the year,my hospital is having Marriott Food Services in the kitchen.Now people will never go home

I think it's crummy that people have to work on Thanksgiving, accept for the usual medical and emergency types. So sorry.

I just want to say thank you to all of you who give up your holiday because you have to work -whether it be healthcare or police and fire workers or hotels.

I have been down that road in hotels and restaurants and remember always being sad that I couldn't spend the day with my family. I feel for you guys - it's easy to forget that not everyone gets the day to celebrate.
